Professional service is fundamental to successful tourism development, and human resource development is one of our highest priorities. Through our flagship Team Samoa programme, we offer Tourism Awareness training to all levels of sector workers. The programme focuses on product knowledge, customer service, Samoa's history and geography and personal development. It aims to instil in its participants a sense of pride in self and country.
In addition, a wide range of skills training and skills upgrading courses are available through the Human Resource Department in an attempt to meet the needs of the industry. (See Training Courses).
